THE BARON IS THREE FOR THREE....AND OH WHAT A FEELING!

Dr Napthine presenting Leading Small Breeder trophy to Glen Bailey I'ts always exciting to watch a home bred and reared horse do well on the track.  But our feelings pale into insignificance compared to those of long-time clients and breeders of BARON ARCHER, Jeff Long, Darren Young and Mark Etherington. Baron Archer (3g Written Tycoon - Elyraq by Lacryma Cristi) is the second generation born at Basinghall from their foundation mare Racquel My Girl who now enjoys her retirement as one of our nannies for each year's weanlings.  Baron Archer's dam, Elyraq, was Racquel My Girl's first foal and a winning race filly herself, so the seed was sown and the Elyraq Breeding Syndicate was born.

Baron Archer, born in 2010, is Elyraq's first foal to race and has been unbeaten in all three career starts, his latest win the 1400m Myrtle Lineham Centenery Plate at Caulfield on 26/7/14.  We couldn't be happier for Jeff, Darren and Mark, whose love for their horses and perseverance in the face of adversity has finally paid off, may the wins continue.
